WHY IS MY HAIR NOT LONG ENOUGH TO WEAR THESE
I found them in my bathroom. Apparently they were part of Emma’s punk Glee girl Halloween costume.
I bought the dress from Newark’s Good Will for $5. Learning to hem by hand wasn’t hard, but if I did the project over again I would have started from the back of the dress where the hem was straight. The front of the dress curves down a bit and my hem was loose, so I went over it a second time. The paint is just cheap Crayola paint but you could do the same thing with acrylic or fabric paint for a dress that would survive the wash. The tape in the third picture is Gorilla tape, but then I ran out and cut strips of duct tape and colored them in with Sharpie for the rest of the lines.
